The next event taking place in Luthermuir Village Hall is the annual Flower Show on Sunday 25th August. Leading up to the Show, judging took place recently for the Luthermuir in Bloom competition. With 15 entries for Best Kept Garden and 16 for Best Container Display, it was a tough job for the judge, Mr Drever.

The winners will be presented with their prizes at the Flower Show. The Committee would like to thank the judge, sponsors and all who entered and supported the competition.

The Flower Show is open to all ages, with specific junior and senior classes, as well as a trophy for novice gardeners. Schedules are available by emailing luthermuir.hall@gmail.com, and the hall is open for entries on Saturday evening 7-11pm / Sunday morning 8-9.30am. The Show is open to the public from 2-4pm, with teas and homebaking, raffle, tombola and plant stall. The afternoon ends with an auction of the cut flower entries following the presentation of prizes.

Other forthcoming events at the hall include the Committee AGM on Thursday 5th September at 7.30pm. The Industrial Show takes place on Sunday 6th October, and the popular Craft & Gift Fair is on Sunday 3rd November.
