Local play centre Dizzy Rascals hosted a very successful event to raise funds for the Laurencekirk Bonfire Night & Fireworks Display to be held on Sat the 2nd of November 2013.

Organised by Laurencekirk Business Club, the evening had huge support from the local community and Dizzy Rascals was packed with children and parents alike enjoying a whole host of activities.

There was face painting and glitter tattoos, Zubatomic with local fitness instructor Jacqui D, cake decorating with Bev from Cakes by Design, a Whisky Trail and and lots more entertainment and refreshments.

The evening raised a staggering £1100 towards the firework display, which is a fantastic help towards making a wonderful night ahead for the Laurencekirk community.

The Bonfire ‘Guy’ that was made by Laurencekirk Primary School pupils was on display on the night with a competition running to guess his name, which turned out to be Cedric.

The competition results for the evening were: ‘Guess the Guys name’ which was guessed correctly by Sarah Nichols. The best girl’s junk model firework was Kirsty Moore, age 5, and the best boy’s junk model firework was by Ruben Dorman, age 7.

Cedric the Guy is now on display in Mearns Hardware store, along with the model fireworks that were made by local children for the competition.

The Laurencekirk Business Club members were delighted with the success of the evening, and are very grateful for the wonderful support given by the local Community for this event.
