12th January will see the official launches of both the new Laurencekirk Development Trust and this website.

The Development Trust, with membership open to all residents,  has been created to move forward Laurencekirk’s development, both short and long term.  It will also deal with changes to local government services, with a view to taking on some of those responsibilities in Laurencekirk and its surrounding parishes.

The launch will include a presentation on the new Trust and the projects it has both underway and under consideration. These projects include this website, taking over the running of council premises such as the community centre, and the possible acquisition of Denlethen wood.

The event is being held at the Dickson Hall, Station Road, Laurencekirk on Saturday 12th January, 11.30am – 3.00pm. Organised by Villages in Control, all residents are invited.

There will be a presentation at 12.00 noon with a repeat at 2.00 pm, with opportunities for questions, to accept membership applications for Laurencekirk Development Trust and take enquiries for the website.
