The Kincardine & Mearns Citizens Advice Bureau (Kamcab) in Stonehaven is looking for new volunteer advisers to join their team. As an adviser, some of your tasks could include interviewing clients, providing information and advice, giving practical help, recording cases, performing other administrative tasks, and so much more. People from all walks of life volunteer at Citizens Advice – and you don’t need specialist knowledge to get involved because all necessary training is provided.

Not only is this a fantastic opportunity to make a difference by helping people in your community; it’s also a chance to improve your job prospects by learning employable skills to add to your CV. Volunteering as an adviser allows you to do something interesting, to boost your confidence, to put your existing interests and talents to good use, and to meet new people. There are also free ongoing training opportunities once you’ve joined the bureau, as well as continuing supervision, so you will always feel supported in what you are doing. Kamcab also offers flexible shifts meaning you can volunteer at a time that suits you.

If you’d like to know more about volunteering as an adviser, Kamcab wants to hear from you. Please email bureau@kamcab.casonline.org.uk if you’d like to register interest. The next cycle of adviser training begins on Wednesday 23rd October, 2019.
