We have an absolutely BRILLIANT November planned here at Mearns Library, with two FANTASTIC events to bookend the month and a fun Saturday afternoon in the middle!

Firstly, we have photographer Andy Hall coming on Tuesday 6th at 7pm. Andy will be sharing his photographs and stories, and there will be a chance to buy his book; Aberdeenshire – A New Perspective. This is a FREE event, no need to book.

Secondly, Scottish Crime Author Extraordinaire Christopher Brookmyre will be here on Thursday 22nd at 7pm. This is also a FREE event, however, tickets must be booked via Eventbrite at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/an-evening-with-christopher-brookmyre-tickets-51018919963 or if you’d rather, we can book them for you here in the library. Chris’ back catalogue, plus copies of his new book, The Way of All Flesh, written under the name Ambrose Parry, will be for sale.

There will be refreshments provided at both events.

And for something completely different, and lots of fun, on Saturday 17th November at 1pm, we are showing a fun sing-a-long film in the theatre. If you’re a “Dancing Queen” please come along! This is a FREE event, however bring some “Money Money Money” as there will be refreshments available for donations to Prince’s Trust.
