Rotary Club of Laurencekirk and District are running a sponsored event in aid of UCAN Charity, as part of the Rotary Great Britain and Ireland Rotary Ride 2016. The event will take place on Father’s Day, 19th June.

Last year the club donated over £4000.00 pounds to Prostate Scotland, and this year we plan to donate our proceeds to UCAN (Urological CANcer). Together with Prostate Scotland, UCAN have made a huge contribution to the provision of facilities at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for the treatment of Urological Cancers and support of patients. These cancers occur predominantly in men and affect the penis, prostate, testicles, bladder and kidney. There is obviously an on-going need to increase and develop the provision of the facilities in the North-East of Scotland, and we hope to contribute to their funds.

We plan to run 3 events this year and hope that one of them will suit you. Each will start and finish at the Laurencekirk Healthcare Centre, Blackiemuir Avenue. More details to follow.
